Head up the hill above Loch Ness to Abriachan for a night of music, poetry, stories and song in celebration of Highland Bothy Culture. From the folklore of the shielings, mountain bothies and shepherd’s huts of the past to the revitalisation of the tradition of hutting in Scotland today, this event will include short informative talks with guest speakers and floor spots from invited musicians and performers.

Speakers include Lesley Riddoch on Scotland's missing wood cabins and ethnologist Hugh Cheape of Sabhal Mòr Ostaig on the folklore of bothy culture in Scots and Gaelic culture.

Musicians include bothy ballad singer Scott Gardiner and fiddler/composer Adam Sutherland + friends. Hosted by the local ceilidh band.
