The symbol of the bothy embodies a world of meaning - histories, futures, places and experiences - with the potential to take on new significance and possibility. From the folklore of the shielings and shepherd’s huts of the past to the mountain bothies and revitalisation of hutting today, the bothy is a site and source of conviviality, connection, creativity and a sense of place: the sharing of the news, stories, music and song that is at the heart of the traditional cèilidh gathering. Join for a night of music, short talks, poetry, stories and song in Abriachan village hall in celebration. We ask, what does Bothy Culture mean to you?

Talk: Bothy Adventures with Calum MacLean
