Terrazzo is a composite material, of aggregate and cementitious binder. It has the ability to unite found and forgotten materials into a cohesive whole, it can be polished to find unexpected beauty in the seemingly dull.
This workshop will teach you the basic skills of working with terrazzo. We will build formwork, collect aggregate, experiment with mixes and cast a tile. This will then be polished and oiled and each participate will have a tile to take home.
