ESALA Climate Action

What are the manifestations of climate action in architectural and landscape architectural academic projects? How can staff and students shape the future of climate action in architecture education? Join ESALA Climate Action for an afternoon of pecha kucha style presentations of staff and student projects centring climate action and an open discussion reimagining how education can and should respond to the climate emergency context.
ESALA Climate Action is a student and staff group at the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture aiming to tackle the Climate Emergency in our pedagogy, research, and community practices. Research and education have a fundamental role to play in imagining a more socially and environmentally just future for all. We aim to contribute to ongoing discussions and to nurture ambitious and innovative responses to these challenges in the context of the climate emergency and the associated socio-ecological crises.
