101 Henderson Row is a small shop located in Stockbridge; a short walk or bus ride from Edinburgh city centre. It's on the No.36 bus route (bus stop just outside) and a short walk from the bottom of Dundas Street which is on the No.23 and No.27 bus routes. Rediscover your local area, get to know your neighbours and reimagine your community.
Despite the ongoing pandemic restrictions, there are still opportunities to meet your neighbours and feel more connected to where you live. Join us to experience these 1:1 walks that are designed to build community, grow local networks and provide the opportunity to get to know people who live near you.
We'll buddy you up with someone you don't know and you'll spend up to an hour exploring the local area whilst getting to know your walking partner. We can help with conversation prompts if talking to strangers doesn't come naturally.
Back at 101 Henderson Row there will be a display of local knowledge and opportunities to make things with local artists and map interesting discoveries from your walk. If restrictions allow, we'll end each event with a social gathering where participants can get share ideas, make plans for local activities/projects and find out how to run Block Walks in other parts of the city.
We've been developing Block Walks in our local area of Stockbridge/Canonmills in Edinburgh since the middle of 2020. If you're not in our area, we're inviting you to start your own Block Walk so come and join us for one of these three sessions to find out more!
