In a time of crisis how does public opinion shape architecture, and how should architects reciprocate? The Royal Incorporation of Architecture in Scotland (RIAS) President Karen Anderson will explore this concept with leading thinkers in Scotland. Architects and the public will be invited to explore the role of designers in the context of today’s economic, environmental, and societal emergencies. The event aims to discover how good architecture, technical competency and professional ethics can be forged into an emergency response. Harking back to the roots of The RIAS, and its core mission, members of the public and profession are invited together to explore the reciprocal concept:
"It is the job of the public to create the climate of opinion within which good architecture can flourish. It is the job of the architect to respond to that"
