New Practice, part of Civic, are experts in place, embedding social value in place-based practice across the UK & Ireland through community engagement, meanwhile use, retrofit & reuse and strategies for communities. Maccreanor Lavington is an anglo-dutch architecture practice based in Rotterdam and London with whom New Practice have collaborated with to deliver a wide range of work across London and the North of England since 2021.

Together in June 2023, we hosted the first session of our City Making programme which looked at Collaboration and featured presentations from architects, engineers, designers, developers and local government. The conversation continued in April 2024, with a second session focused on Leadership through the lens of activism, custodianship, leadership and governance.

This third session in the programme will examine the role of Participation in creating inclusive, sustainable, and thriving communities and will feature presentations from Civic Engineers, Maccreanor Lavington, New Practice and more to be announced soon.
